Tomorrow (10.10.15) is World Mental Health Day, the annual global celebration of mental health education and awareness with the theme for this year being Dignity in Mental Health.
Each year in the UK, 1 in 4 people will experience mental ill health and the aim of this years event is to show the ways in which dignity can be provided in all aspects of mental health, ranging from care provided to people to the attitudes of the general public.
On Sunday 11th October, Exeter City host Stevenage at St James Park and mental ill health will be the focus as Exeter City’s specially designated ‘One Game One Community match’. Backed by Exeter City Disabled Supporters Association, Mind, Kick it Out and the club’s Supporters Trust, ‘Lace Your Boots For Mental Health’ was chosen to coincide with World Mental Health Day 2015 with lots of activities on during the day to raise awareness around mental ill health.
