Less than one week remains, until the Level Playing Field survey on the women’s game closes.
The first-of-its-kind survey seeks the views and opinions of disabled match-going fans who attend women’s football.
Women’s football is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK and the Women’s Super League has seen attendance increase by 200%, and the average attendances in the Women’s Championship are up by 85%, since England’s triumph at Euro 2022.
Owain Davies, chief executive of Level Playing Field, said: “Level Playing Field is the leading disability fan advocacy charity in England and Wales, and as that leading figure it is correct that we seek the views and opinions of disabled fans who are attending women’s football.
“As one of the fasting growing sports in not only the UK but Europe, it is essential that as it grows, it takes disability access and inclusion with it.
“The results from this first-of-a-kind survey will give us a clearer understanding of disabled fans’ experiences attending one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, provide information on what iss working and what needs improving, to make sure that attending women’s football is for everyone, not for the selected few.
“I encourage all disabled fans who attend women’s football to participate and help create an inclusive match day for all.”
The survey has been running since the start of February and closes on April 7. You can take part HERE.
