Newcastle United DSA (NUDSA) will be ascending into London on mass like only the Toon army can, with 30+ members of the Newcastle United DSA attending their away game at West Ham kitted out in Level Playing Field Weeks of Action branded mercandise.
This is not the first time NUDSA have attend a game on mass in the colours of Level Playing Field in the name of Weeks of Action. A near 50-strong party attended a game against Hull back in 2014.
Also, back in 2014, Charlton Athletic Disabled Supporters Association paid for their disabled supporters to attend an away match against Ipswich as well as created a Quiz Night where all proceeds went towards a donation to the Charlton Athletic Deaf Football Team, as well as the ongoing improvements to facilities for their disabled supporters.
Liverpool DSA will be getting on their bike and working with Charity Project, Wheels for All. They will be having 3 days of fun, activity and the opportunity to meet others in support of Level Playing Field Week of Action and Celebrating Access and Inclusion. For more information on dates, places and times, please click the link.
Back in 2018 Carlisle United DSA arranged for a guard of honour made up of pan-disabled children; the group from Eden Mencap waved Level Playing Field banners and members of Young People First: Access All Areas joined in a penalty shoot-out at half time.
Joining in a shootout this year will be students from local college Cambium Lufton in Yeovil, which is for adults with learning difficulties. Yeovil Town DSA will be teaming up with a number of Cambium students who will be attending the 2nd March Weeks Of Action game against Morecambe, where they will meet the players and attend and take part in a training session on the 4G pitch to the side of the ground with disability aware coaches. During half time the lucky students will take part in a penalty shoot-out competition on the hallowed Huish Park pitch.
Birmingham City AccessiBlues and Aston Villa DSA (AVDSA) will be putting their football rivalry to one side to show unity for Level Playing Field Weeks of Action. Before the ‘Second City Derby’ both groups of DSAs will meet up and voice their unified message of Action for All.
This will not be the first time DSAs have put aside their rivalry in the name of Weeks of Action! Back in 2015 Sheffield United DSA and Bradford City DSA joined forces to mark Weeks of Action.
All the above are simple, smart, and innovative ideas that help to engage, educate and celebrate Level Playing Field Weeks of Action. YOU STILL HAVE TIME!
