This year’s campaign has some of the most innovative ideas we have seen yet.

This year’s Weeks Of Action is coming along thick and fast and some of the EFL’s Championship clubs have some brilliant plans to champion disabled supporters. We have 20 of the 24 clubs signed up this year to take part. Our clubs are promoting this year’s campaign with initiatives like Aston Villa’s Level Playing Field Cup, which is a pan disability tournament hosted by their foundation.

We also have clubs like Preston North End who are inviting disabled supporters behind the scenes on a match day to see what the club staff get up to and everything they do to support disabled supporters.

Similarly, Ipswich Town have invited Level Playing Field to come down and be part of their matchday on the 2nd of March against Reading. We will be going to the game and hosting a stand in the club’s pre-match Fan Zone. We will be there to spread the message of greater access and inclusion for all and make sure that the disabled and non-disabled supporters on the day understand the power of inclusion.

“Weeks of Action is a brilliant time to show off the fantastic work that the clubs do throughout the season and in the off season. It’s a testament to the great work that the Championship clubs do all year that there has been such a fantastic appetite” said Development Officer Neal Hickey.
