Level Playing Field is pleased to be recognised as a TS Friendly Organisation by Tourettes Action.
Tourettes Action works in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as the leading support and research charity for people with Tourette Syndrome (TS) and their families. Its TS Friendly initiative celebrates and provides training to Tourette’s-aware organisations.
The TS Friendly scheme is a way for organisations to confirm their commitment to developing an environment and culture that enables people of all ages with TS to thrive.
Tourettes Action provided bespoke training to Level Playing Field staff, in addition to wider guidance on support for individuals with TS in the workplace and live sports settings.
Level Playing Field development officer, Daniel Townley, said: “The training provided by the team at Tourettes Action was specifically catered in a manner to ensure it had the maximum benefit for Level Playing Field.
“Becoming a TS Friendly Organisation demonstrates our commitment to inclusion and will also prove useful in the support we offer to disabled supporters’ associations, clubs and governing bodies.
“We are always eager to add to our expertise and engage in knowledge sharing with other organisations across disability and sport.
“I would encourage others to speak with Tourettes Action about the TS Friendly scheme and other support they can provide.”
