The Football League celebrate Weeks of Action

The Football League have pledged their support for Level Playing Field’s 2016 Weeks of Action campaign, and dedicated the recent Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final to promoting the initiative.

Over the 2 week period between 2nd – 17th April, Football League member clubs are hosting a range of activities and events to celebrate their disabled fanbase and promote a message of access and inclusion.

The campaign was kicked off in style at Wembley for the Football League’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final, where Barnsley overcame Oxford United 3-2 in a thrilling encounter to lift the trophy.

On the day, Level Playing Field Weeks of Action were featured in the matchday programme as well as a PA announcement from Football League Chairman Greg Clarke supporting this year’s campaign.
