On Saturday 1 December at 1 More London Place, London, UK, Level Playing Field Chair and CAFE, Managing Director Joyce Cook, OBE, will be speaking at the TEDxWhitehallWomen event on the power of inclusion. This event takes place in the lead up to the International Day of Disabled People on 3rd December and as such we hope that our topic will resonate especially well with its global audience.
It is a day of networking and hearing from inspirational women about their transformational journeys and the universal journey of the seven ages of woman. If you don’t know about TED talks they’re definitely worth checking out. They’re based on the concept of ideas worth sharing.
There will be a range of speakers including paralympian Martine Wright, businesswoman and broadcaster Lynne Franks, and Director of Communications for UNICEF UK Jane Cooper. There will also be a performance from the London City Singers, and plenty of opportunity for networking, sharing stories and experiences.
The event will cost £47 per person, including lunch and refreshments and will run from 12-7pm. As well as 15 speakers in London, there will also be a session on EQ and IQ which will be live-streamed from Washington where the main TEDxWomen event is taking place. We hope women will come away with ideas, inspiration and connections that they can use in their personal and professional lives.
I do hope that you can promote the event to your network and friends as it will give many women the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences.
