Level Playing Field Weeks of Action (3rd to 18th March 2018) – celebrating ‘Our Matchday’.
Level Playing Field are delighted to announce that the 2018 Weeks of Action campaign will take place between 3rd – 18th March 2018.
This annual initiative is a chance for clubs, Disabled Supporters Associations, sports governing bodies and disabled fans to get involved and promote a message of access and inclusion for disabled sports fans.
2018 will mark the 13th Weeks of Action campaign, and is now a firmly established date on the sporting calendar which has seen an increasing number of events and activities year by year. You can recap the successful 2017 Weeks of Action campaign here.
With this year’s theme we are focusing on ‘Our Matchday’. Specifically looking at the positive experience for disabled fans in attending a match day. Whether it be the buzz of the atmosphere to the goals scored or the good access and service on offer, we want to shine a light on what makes your match day great! We are also calling on clubs to share what they do to make their match day accessible and inclusive for disabled fans.
LPF Chief Executive Owain Davies said, “We are delighted to launch the 2018 ‘Weeks of Action’ #OurMatchday. This theme allows fans and the clubs to share the good experiences they have and the positive work being carried out by clubs and DSA’s (Disabled Supporters Associations) to ensure match days are accessible, inclusive and for the whole community.”
