Level Playing Field are delighted to support Guide Dogs Week.
Guide Dogs open up the world to people who are partially sighted or blind; enabling them to continue feeling a part of the community and doing the things they love, like attending sports events.
To find out more about Guide Dogs Week you can visit the Guide Dogs website here.
Level Playing Field General Manager Ruth Hopkins said “Level Playing Field recognises the important role Guide Dogs play for many football supporters and the duty sports venues have to accommodate them. We will continue to encourage clubs to provide appropriate facilities for Guide Dogs and their owners, including relieving stations, amenity seats with additional leg room and water bowls.”
Examples of clubs who are already doing this such as Wembley Stadium and Arsenal FC can be found here and here.
You can see guidance around adjustments that can be made for Guide Dogs at sporting venues on page 7 of the Accessible Stadia Supplementary Guidance here.
