Level Playing Field appoint Nicky Baker as Access and Development Officer

Level Playing Field is delighted to announce the appointment of Nicky Baker as our new Access and Development Officer. Nicky joined Level Playing Field on the 3rd August 2015. Her role will be to support the access and development programme by offering expert advice and guidance to clubs and partners as part of our ongoing club mediation work, as well as assisting in the delivery of access audits, disability awareness training and design appraisals.

Nicky initially trained as an access auditor on a trainee scheme at a local disability charity where she also worked for many years as an Information Officer. She became a registered Access Auditor with the National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC) in 2003 and has previously worked on a range of accessibility projects including schools and large parks.

Nicky has also been delivering Disability Equality Training for a number of years for a range of audiences and organisations such as Local Authorities. Nicky completed the Disability Rights Commission ‘Train the Trainer’ course and became one of their accredited trainers.

Welcoming Nicky to the organisation, Chief Executive Steph Gadd said, “I am delighted Nicky has joined Level Playing Field, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Access and Development Officer role which will enable us to expand our current provision and assist more disabled fans, clubs and partners.”
