The Stewards training also entitled Disability Awareness Training is for all front line staff of sports clubs venues.
Level Playing Field’s Steward’s training is a detailed training course set up to support match day stewards and provide them with best practice guidance on working with disabled supporters. The training comes on the back of over 10 years of feedback we have received from disabled supporters. We have also conducted extensive research and consultation with disabled supporters and match day stewards. This research identified a need to develop a tailored training package to best support match day stewards was discovered.
After undergoing rigorous screening, CPD have ensured that the training we deliver is of the highest accreditation standard. The screening process ensures that all of the material is relevant to the audience it is being delivered to. Similarly, the high standard of training ensures that delegates’ time is accounted for and valued, as all participants who take part will be awarded with a CPD certification.
Chief Executive of Level Playing Field Owain Davies gave his thoughts on the good news.
“It is important that the training we deliver as an organisation is of the highest standard. By obtaining Continuous Professional Development accreditation we know that the training we deliver is of the highest professional standards.”
“Similarly, having undergone a lengthy consultation process with various disabled supporters and club staff around the country, we know the material in this training is filling a much-needed gap in the industry.”
“We want disabled supporters to get the same match day experience as any other supporter at the ground and we believe this training will go a long way to helping match day staff to fulfil those expectations”.
