Chester FC have been awarded £15,000 by The Football Conference Trust towards their new community wing. The club have been working with Vi-Ability (a football based social enterprise) to assist them with Community Development. The award was presented by the chair Bill King and vice chair Lord Faulkner of Worcester of the Football Conference at half time at their game on the 1st December against Worcester City to representatives from its community wing including to Inclusive Blues and LPF Development Administator Rachel Nickless.
The Chester FC Community Trust has been set up to develop community relations between Chester FC and the community that it serves and to develop participative sports opportunities promoting football. The Community Trust will also broaden the scope of activity to include educative/football initiatives, social inclusion/cohesion projects and other community related activities.
