Momentum magazine is the newest title launched from North East based publishing house Publishing Magazines Ltd. The beginning of June 2014 marked the first edition of the magazine, a bi-monthly publication which specifically highlights sports for disabled people across the UK.
The magazine provides interesting topics on all areas and levels of sport from absolute beginners right the way through to elite level paralympians. This issue has features including, Archery GB, Get into Golf, British Cycling, England & Wales Cricket Board and a piece from all of the National Disability Sport Organisations (NDSOs).

The magazine welcomes input from various writers and the company was particularly happy to feature three outstanding athletes in the first edition.
“We were really excited to work with Charlotte Henshaw, Sam Ruddock and Joe Seage, all outstanding young sports people who shared with us their personal building blocks for success” said Steve McGargle, MD of Publishing Magazines Limited. “The beauty of Momentum is that it is the UK’s only publication which is aimed at encouraging people with disabilities to become engaged with and participate in sporting events”.
“We are careful to balance Momentum so that it can reach the widest audience possible, the articles are interesting and current, and the magazine is accessible to all, whether that be in paper format or via the text to speech function on the website www.momentummagazine.co.uk.”
Publishing Magazines Limited is located in the Business Innovation Centre at Sunderland and employs 12 local people. It also produces the following titles: Empower Magazine and Education for the Military.
