Level Playing Field are delighted to hear of the positive news, that Glamorgan County Cricket Club (CCC) are currently conducting a survey of their facilities to ensure their provision provides the appropriate access requirements for disabled fans.
This proactive approach provides a platform for disabled cricket fans to voice their experience of attending the SSE SWALEC Stadium and equally supports Glamorgan CCC maintain and develop their accessible facilities and services.
Ruth Hopkins – General Manager of Level Playing Field said, “The encouraging actions of Glamorgan to carry out this accessibility survey with disabled cricket fans is a positive statement of intent. Having this provision to listen to disabled fans allows the county to recognise the good work it does already and to further build on this, along with identifying any shortfalls in access and putting a coherent and relevant action plan in place to address any issues.”
Dan Cherry – Head of Operations at Glamorgan CCC went onto say “Glamorgan CCC are committed to providing a warm Welsh welcome to all visitors to the SSE SWALEC Stadium. It is important to us that we are fully inclusive and the aim of this survey will allow us to be far more informed as to how we can improve our facilities, our procedures and so that we can meet the requirements of disabled cricket fans to ensure that their experience is always a positive one.”
