It has been a tough time for everyone, and we all know how vital live sport can be to a persons wellbeing. That feeling of a matchday cannot be replicated through a screen or audio, however hard we have all tried.
In August, when clubs open up their turnstiles to fans in England, it must be open to all fans. It has to be an accessible reopening for all!
Early this month, Level Playing Field came together with the ‘Audience Access Alliance’ to raise awareness of an accessible reopening when restrictions are lifted. This is something we will continue to push.
When that first whistle of the season blows, it will be an emotional and inspiring moment; why should this moment only be available to a select few? This sporting historical moment has to be open to everyone!
Level Playing Field have created guides to support clubs with their re-opening plans ahead of the new season.

The text-to-speech version can be found here.
Level Playing Field urge clubs to share information ahead of the season and have a consultation with their Disabled Supporters Association (DSAs) and fans (new and old) to ensure no fan is excluded because of a disability.
