This week is Dyslexia Week; An annual event that aims to raise awareness of dyslexia while celebrating best practices in dyslexia that empowers individuals to achieve their potential.
“Dyslexia is a hugely passionate and personal subject for me. I was diagnosed over 25 years ago. Being diagnosed supported me in getting the help and support I needed. I was fortunate to have people around me alongside a good education to harness my strengths and to support with my weaknesses.
I hope through the Dyslexia Week campaign we can raise awareness that by having inclusive and understanding environments, we can help people with dyslexia flourish and reach or exceed their potential.” – CEO, Owain Davies
This year Level Playing Field are actively taking part in this year’s celebration, Chief Executive, Owain Davies and Fans Liaison Officer, Liam Bird, both dyslexics sat down to discuss their dyslexia and how dyslexia has affected their lives.
