On Saturday 20th April Chester FC champions of Blue Square Conference North lifted their trophy at their final home game of the season. Arrangements had been put in place by club senior officials in conjunction with its Disabled Supporter Association, the Inclusive Blues so that its disabled supporters had a front row seat of the champions collecting their trophy before they went on a lap of honour (in previous seasons supporters had spilled onto the pitch before the lap of honour was completed).
“The arrangements enabled wheelchair supporters to have a front row seat for the Blue Square North Championship winning celebrations, which provided a fantastic end to another brilliant season for the fan owned club. As always disabled supporters are put at the heart of Chester FC. We really feel our welfare matters to the club’s senior officials especially when, rather than join his players for the photo-call, Manager Neil Young came over and shook the hand of all the disabled supporters.”
