Award winning Paralympics broadcaster Channel 4 has launched an initiative that offers 24 places on a Training Production Scheme for Rio 16 for candidates with a disability.
In a bid to promote diversity and address the under-representation of disabled people within the media industry, this training sheme aims to train production staff to work on the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and beyond to a career in sports production.
The scheme offers an opportunity for entry level and junior talents to join the industry and learn the skills necessary in three possible roles:
• Junior Research/Assistant Producer (broadcast or digital)
• Junior Production Secretary/Co-ordinator
• Technical/Production assistant
The deadline for applications is midnight on the 23rd February 2015.
