This match had no segregation which was a pleasant surprise & it was nice to mix and chat to our opponents.
I phoned Braintree in advance & booked a car parking space, (Thank you Chris for arranging this)
Our pre-match meal was at the Orange Tree pub close to the ground.
Arriving at the ground we were shown to a parking space which was on cobbles, not ideal for wheelchairs or people with walking difficulties.
Everyone entered through the same turnstiles which were the furthest away, and the steward opened a gate for us to go through, I bought my ticket at the turnstile but walked through the gate with Dave in his wheelchair.
Not sure where to go, a lady selling 50/50 tickets told us there were wheelchair spaces with seats for the carers on the front row of the stand at the far side of the ground.
There was a bar with a ramp for wheelchairs, next to the club shop inside the ground, completely accessible.
Programmes were sold inside and outside the turnstiles, but they quickly sold out.
I found the club shop & went in to buy a badge but it wasn’t accessible to wheelchairs.
There was a refreshment bar close by and it was accessible. The bacon butties looked nice but we had just had lunch.
We had a good view of the whole pitch but wasn’t under cover at the front if it rained. That was the only stand in the ground so everyone mixed together & all very friendly.
