Weeks of Action: Luton Town become 'Game Changers' for their fans living with dementia

Luton Town have shown their support for Weeks of Action by increasing the club's awareness of dementia and how they can become a 'Game Changer' for those living with it.

The club will welcome a group of people living with dementia to Saturday's (18th March) home fixture with Exeter City to watch the game in Kenilworth Road's largest executive box, and aim to raise awareness and challenge the stigma around dementia.

Ahead of Saturday's game, staff at the club took part in a Dementia Friends training session, delivered by Sian Gilleard from the Alzheimers Society. The session gave the group an insight into many of the obstacles faced by people living with Dementia. It also provided some strategies for how colleagues within the Club can help make matchdays a far more positive experience for people living with Dementia.

The Club have since agreed to host further sessions, to help Sian get the message out there within Luton. If any supporters would be interested in attending a similar session, please do get in touch
