Level Playing Field is delighted to hear that Chelsea FC has agreed to increase its wheelchair user provision at Stamford Bridge before the start of 2018/19 season.

Chelsea FC was one of four clubs that missed the Premier League clubs’ self- imposed deadline to meet the Accessible Stadia minimum standard by August 2017 citing their proposed move to a new stadium.

Tony Taylor, Chair of LPF said, “Level Playing Field have been campaigning tirelessly over the past twenty years to ensure disabled people have an equality of experience when following their teams and this land mark decision is a real victory for disabled fans and LPF’s efforts in campaigning for sports stadia to meet Accessible Stadia. This commitment by Chelsea FC and all the other Premier League clubs that have made changes since the pledge will make a huge difference. Furthermore, those clubs being promoted from the EFL Championship will have two years to meet Accessible Stadia and LPF will continue to offer our support and expertise to help them achieve that.”
