If you were planning a day out somewhere and only one of your potential destinations provided appropriate toilet facilities for all of the people who you were hoping to go with, where would you go?
Disabled people can and do determine choice – if they can’t access the required facilities on the day there’s every likelihood their whole group won’t go.
Disability is the largest minority group in any population. 250,000 disabled people in the UK require additional toilet facilities to those provided by an accessible toilet.
Without doubt, having access to a Changing Places facility determines whether some disabled people will attend a sports event.
Level Playing Field always recommends a Changing Places facility is provided at sports venues. Here are the ones that we know provide this facility:
