Swimming lessons for disabled children

Submitted on Thursday 8 December 2011 by Elaine Browne

The Ivy House Hydrotherapy Pool in Derby will be starting swimming lessons for disabled children from Monday 9th January 2012. They have brought in a teacher that holds the ASA Disabled Swimming Teachers Award and Haliwick Certificate.

The sessions are tailor made to fit each individuals requirements and each child will be accompanied in the water by a parent/care worker who will work closely with the teacher to develop water skills and swimming techniques over the term.

Places are limited on each session so if you know of any children you think may benefit from these lessons please do not hesitate to contact the Ivy House team by calling 01332 771 172, or emailing
