Promoting good access for all fans

Southampton DSA Open Day

Submitted on Monday 25 July 2011 by Jackie Newing

The SDSA will be in the Dell Café at St Mary's Stadium on Friday 29th July 2011 from 4pm - 6.30pm which precedes the Annual General Meeting commencing at 7pm.

The Saints Disabled Supporters Association was set up in September 2010 with the full support of Southampton Football Club. The objective is to ensure a consistent high quality match day experience for disabled fans. The association meets regularly with the Club discussing experiences and feedback on where improvements can be made at the Stadium and for away fixtures.

Attendees at the Open Day will have the chance of a stadium tour, find out about additional services available in the local area, as well as meeting ex Saints Paul Jones and Nick Holmes.

SDSA Chair Andy Mather commented: "The Association is gathering momentum and we look forward to welcoming supporters to the Open Day and recruiting new members. The sole purpose is to maintain and improve the stadium experiences and offer the Club advice and guidance on key issues affecting disabled supporters."
