Fixed term – three years from 1 September 2011
You will work within the Centre for Disability Studies to support the Professor of Disability Policy and to develop research projects in that field. You may also contribute to a small amount of teaching and/or supervision activity at different levels in areas relevant to the School’s teaching programmes.
With a relevant doctorate and experience of policy-relevant disability research you will support the management of funded research projects and develop new ones. You will possess excellent analytical and writing skills, along with the ability to deal with a variety of tasks to set deadlines and have strong organisational skills. It is essential that you will be able to work alone, as part of a team and with a range of people. The post may involve some limited travel or stays away from home, for example to attend national or international research meetings/conferences or for research fieldwork. You may be required to undertake a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
