Paralympic tickets set to go on sale

Submitted on Thursday 1 December 2011 by Elaine Browne

The remaining tickets for the London 2012 Paralympic Games will go on sale on a first come, first served basis at 1pm on Friday 2 December 2011.

Full price tickets start at just £10, with tickets for young people and seniors costing only £5. Tickets will be available from the London 2012 ticketing website or via telephone on 0844 847 2012.

Following unprecedented interest a year out from the Paralympic Games, over a million tickets have already been sold. However, there is good availability across a range of sports such as Athletics, Equestrian and Wheelchair Basketball, including some medal sessions.

London 2012 Organising Committee Chief Executive Paul Deighton said: 'Following the unprecedented demand for Paralympic tickets earlier this year, these tickets are a wonderful opportunity to take family and friends to the Games next year – a fantastic Christmas gift.

'Those who get hold of one of these remaining tickets will get the chance to witness amazing athletes and sport like never before during what will undoubtedly be a time of extraordinary pride for our nation.'
