Kick It Out searching for Volunteer Project Worker

Kick It Out is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking volunteer to work on its grassroots and community activities as part of the forthcoming One Game, One Community weeks of action.
Objectives
-
To assist with the planning, organisation and delivery of the One Game One Community weeks of action.

To provide assistance with the distribution of resources and the planning of weeks of action events.

To assist the Kick It Out team with the evaluation and review of the weeks of action.

To support and enhance Kick It Outs ongoing grassroots and community work
Specific Functions and Responsibilities
-
To assist with general communication around the weeks of action, including answering the telephone, dealing with day-to-day enquiries, and the distribution of both postal and electronic mailings.

To assist with the management and distribution of Kick It Out resources, including packing and distribution of all resources, and help resolving any client queries that may arise

To assist the Grassroots Officer with the planning and organisation of grassroots and community activities for Kick It Out events. This may include assisting with week of action events that take place on match days at professional clubs.

Assist with the production and distribution of the weeks of action review.

All other weeks of action related duties as requested
Person Specification
-
An appreciation and understanding of the impact of discrimination in all areas of football and society. Specific knowledge or experience of grassroots and community football would be an advantage

Good literacy, organisation and communication skills
-
Good IT skills. Experience of using Outlook, Excel and Word is essential
-
Ability to work as part of team, and at the same time be able to complete individual tasks with some degree of guidance and assistance
-
Ability to work in a high pressured, fast moving environment and be able to adapt to a wide number of varying tasks
-
The desire to learn new skills and develop existing skills for future development essential

N.B. Although this is a voluntary position, travel expenses and a daily lunch allowance will be provided.
