Just the ticket for Christmas: London 2012 Paralympic Games tickets to go back on sale

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) has confirmed that remaining tickets for the London 2012 Paralympic Games will go on sale on a first come, first served basis at 1pm on Friday 2 December 2011.

Following unprecedented interest a year out from the London 2012 Paralympic Games, 800,000 tickets were allocated to more than 100,000 people through September’s initial public application phase.

Some sports such as Paralympic Track Cycling and Wheelchair Rugby have no further tickets available at this time, but there is still good availability elsewhere, including for:
• Athletics at the Olympic Stadium
• ExCeL and Olympic Park day passes
• Wheelchair Basketball at the North Greenwich Arena
• Equestrian at Greenwich Park and
• Swimming at the Aquatics Centre (morning sessions)

Tickets are still available on every day of the Games from 29 August to 9 September 2012, including for medal sessions in a number of sports. Full price tickets start at just £10, with tickets for young people and seniors costing only £5.

View our complete guide to ticket availability by sport here.

Tickets will be available from www.tickets.london2012.com or via telephone on 0844 847 2012. In recognition of Visa's longstanding support of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, only Visa (debit, credit and prepaid) can be used to purchase tickets. For applicants outside of the UK, a full list of Authorised Ticket Resellers is available on the London 2012 ticketing website.

Customers are advised to purchase London 2012 Paralympic Games tickets only through official sources. It is illegal to sell London 2012 Paralympic Games tickets without the permission of LOCOG. Any website or individual claiming to have tickets for sale should be checked against the list of official outlets on the London 2012 ticketing website.
