Match: Warrington Wolves v Brisbane Broncos, World Club Series, Friday 18/2/17

Published: 20/2/2017

My pants view at the Helliwell Jones Stadium tonight for the rugby league club world series game between Warrington Wolves and Brisbane Broncos won by the Wire 27-18. My enjoyment was spoiled by stewards and sundry passers-by constantly obstructing my view and being pitch level which I hate.

A real pity as the ground gets so much right. Half of the ground is standing accomodation with one stand behind the goal-line and one along the touchline devoted solely to standing. The other two stands are all seats.

Everybody's a winner except wheelchair fans. For us it's pitch level behind the in-goal area or lump it. Deeply disappointing for a ground built and opened in this century staging its first game in 2004.
